Liverpool Bay - unfortunately this trip in July was cancelled due to poor weather.

 

We confirmed the following club dive dates

 

8th August (Saturday) Trearddur Bay – We will be meeting at 9.30/10.00 at the Diving Services (Anglesey) Dive shop parking available at £5.00 per day. It’s just over a two hour drive. Toilets are about 1 mile away and watch out for the traffic wardens, they are very vigilant around here.

 

6th September (Sunday) Trefor Pier - We will be meeting 9.30 in the car park ,there are no dive shops near by to get air fills, but we only expect to get one dive here anyway. Remember to bring a packed lunch. You also need an SMB or one per buddy team.

 

22nd August (Saturday) - The clubs anniversary dive at Ecky Delph www.thedelph.com

We will be meeting at 9.00 a.m. in the Delphs car park. We have had confirmation that we can have a BBQ after the dives, so please confirm by email if you intend to join us so we know the numbers we’re catering for. We only have a small amount of funds, kindly provided by those who dived and ate at our last Dive/BBQ in Criccieth so food or drink donations will be greatly appreciated.

 

Social Event

 

29th August (Saturday) the Clubs Summer night out - a pub-crawl around town we are meeting 7.30-8.00 p.m. at the Rat and Parrot - Club member’s partners are most welcome to join us.

 

Possible trips for 2010

 

Farne Islands- Andy put forward details for a dive trip to the Farne Islands for October 2010, there are a number of operators but Sovereign Divers www.sovereigndiving.co.uk also offer accommodation. Price is £390 for the boat (12people) 2 dives per day, accommodation is B&B at £27.50 pp.pn (but only sleeps 10 people) please let us know if you would be interested in this type of trip. We will discuss this further at our next meeting,

 

Spain- John Taylor unfortunately couldn’t attend the meeting. Paula will chase him up by email to see if he has any further info regarding a possible Spanish dive trip for May 2010.
